Gate 6 (Gordon Highway): 24 hours daily

Gate 6 is open 24/7 as the new, main access control point for DOD ID Card Holders, commercial vehicles and installation visitors & non-DOD ID card holders requiring passes. Please bring your drivers license to present at the gate.

Directions

From Downtown – Take I-20 West to Belair Road – Exit 194. Turn left onto Dyess Parkway. Proceed 3 miles. Turn right onto Gordon Hwy (NOTE: Do not continue straight to Gate 1. As of October 2021, Gate 6 is now the main gate for Fort Gordon). Drive down Gordon Hwy for about 5 miles. Turn left into the Gate 6 entrance. Left-hand lane leads to the welcome center. Have driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance available. Proceed straight for a couple miles and turn right to 15th Street (second round-about). Continue 3 miles until you hit the 4-way stop. Turn right and drive for 1 mile. Gordon Lakes Golf Club will be on your left.
